Toilets

There are limited toilet facilities available at the Mansion itself, and additional facilities including accessible toilets will be available in the park next to the Mansion. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor of the Mansion and baby changing facilities, but these can only be accessed via the main entrance – any visitor to the Made in Suffolk exhibition requiring these facilities who is unable to use the steps from the Wolsey Art Gallery to the Mansion’s ground floor, will need to exit the Wolsey Art Gallery through the garden entrance and make their way to the Mansion’s front entrance. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Accessibility

Every effort has been made to make Christchurch Mansion a great place to visit for everybody. However, as a Grade 1 listed building, with multiple floor levels providing access to all areas is difficult. The Wolsey Art Gallery where the Made in Suffolk exhibition is located is fully accessible with a step and ramp free entrance/exit situated in the Gallery’s garden. This is the main entrance for the exhibition and will be well signed.

We are developing a virtual tour of the upper floors of the Mansion to enable everyone to see it without needing to be able to use the stairs.
